Rampage Recap

Darby and Sting Defeated House of Black

Action Bronson and Hook defeated Angelo Parker and Matt Menard

Wardlow and Samoa Joe defeated Josh Woods and Tony Nese

Jungle Boy defeated Rey Fenix

Sammy Guevara defeated Eddie Kingston (reverse decision)

Jade Cargil defeated Diamante

Hangman Adam Page won the golden ticket battle royal

Ricky Starks defeated Powerhouse Hobbs

Well having the Great Muta appear will always get people talking about your show. His appearance during Sting's match suggests they will use that connection. I typically do not like when Japanese stars show up with no explanation about who they are but Muta is an exception. He has at least wrestled for a major US promotion.

Never heard of Action Bronson other than the hype video on Dynamite. The Hook push continues.

Wardlow and Joe are an interesting pair. Wonder if we see more of them.

Jungle Boy picking up some singles wins to re-establish himself as a singles star is nice. A loss will not hurt Fenix. The slow build with him and Luchasaurus is nice

Sammy winning due to Eddie not letting go of a submission was a nice touch. Will make Kingston even angrier.

Jade has lost a lot of her appeal lately. That is mostly due to her booking and not her though.

Maybe Page can remind everyone that he lost the title to Punk and never got to challenge for it after?

Starks and Hobbs put on a good match, but nothing about their story makes it must see to me.

Smackdown Recap

Smackdown opened with a Bloodline promo. Roman teased kicking Sami out of the group but then presented him with his new shirt.

Hit Row and The Street Profits had a party backstage. During this a QR code appeared that led to a game.

Liv Morgan beat Lacey Evans. After the match Liv drove Lacey through a table.

New Day beat Maximum Male Models. They need Rick Martel to show them how to be successful

Braun Strowman defeated Otis

McIntyre cut a promo about a strap match against Kross at Extreme Rules. Scarlett hit a fireball on Drew and Kross locked the Kross jacket onto him to end the segment

Raquel Rodriguez defeated Dakota Kai after Shotzi caused a distraction

The Usos defeated the Brawling Brutes to retain their titles.

Sami is the best thing on Smackdown right now. He made the right choice not going to AEW.

Liv just might win at Extreme Rules.

It is clear Lacey is not a Triple H project

Braun seems to building up for something. Does he challenge Gunther after Sheamus?

I have never been a fan of the strap matches that require touching the 4 corners. Hopefully this one can end in a pin.

Shotzi needs her tank.

Both the Usos and Roman have had their titles too long. Imperium coming out made sense but how long do these titles stay unified and on the Bloodline?

Quick recap of NXT and Dynamite

Doing a quick recap of the shows.

NXT

Solo Sikoa vacated the North American Title. Ladder Match at Halloween Havoc

Frazier beat Axiom to even their series at 1

Toxic Attraction defeated Ivy Nile and Tatum Paxley

The Dyad defeated Edris Enofe and Malik Blade

Cora Jade defeated Wendy Choo

Chase U defeated Carmelo Hayes and Trick Williams

Von Wagner defeated Sanga

Oro Mensah defeated Grayson Waller to qualify for the North American Title Ladder Match

Jd McDonagh defeated Tyler Bate to become the #1 contender for the NXT Title

Not sure why Solo Sikoa won the title if he was just going to vacate it. NXT was honestly a weak show this week. Nothing really stood out.

AEW

Chris Jericho defeated Claudio Castagnoli for the Ring of Honor Title

The Acclaimed defeated Swerve In Our Glory to win the AEW Tag Team Titles

PAC defeated Orange Cassidy to retain the All Atlantic Title

Toni Storm defeated Athena, Sereena Deeb, and Britt Baker

Jon Moxley defeated Brian Danielson to win the AEW World Title

Guess Jericho just had to have that accolade added to his impressive career.

Having The Acclaimed win at All Out would have meant much more than this did. Still nice to see them win though

Saraya(formerly Paige) came out after the women's match. Really hoping she stays safe in the ring.

Mox deserved the win. He should have never lost the title to Punk in the first place

Raw Recap 9-19-22

Raw opens with Rollins v Lashley. At one point Rollins goes for the stomp but Lashley is too strong and hold himself up. Rollins landed on his head on the outside in a scary looking bump. Rollins countered a spear into a pedigree for a near fall. After reversing a hurt lock into a pinfall attempt, Rollins delivered a low blow which the ref did not see. Riddle came out to cause a distraction which allowed Lashley to pick up the win in a great opening match.

Damage Control out for a promo next. Standard heel fare that brings out Bianca, Alexa, and Asuka. Alexa challenged Bayley to a match for later in the night.

Owens v Theory is next. Theory plays a punching bag well. Owens seems to be inspired with Triple H in charge. Owens and Theory ended up arguing who the daddy is after the crowd chanted "Who's your daddy?" Owens missed a springboard moonsault and Theory hit a neckbreaker for a near fall. Owens wins after a distraction from Gargano and a pop up powerbomb.

A recap of Logan Paul challenging Roman Reigns aired.

Brawling Brutes v Street Profits began after a promo. These two teams just beat the hell out of each other. At one point Butch was foaming at the mouth. After a grueling match Butch hit a kick and Holland slammed Dawkins for the win.

A recap of Edge/Dom aired

Alpha Academy challenged Gargano and Owens to a match next week.

Judgement Day cut a promo that included a family photo. Mysterio and Riddle interrupted leading to the match. Priest slammed Riddle on the apron leading to a commercial break. Mysterio gets the hot tag and unleashes a flurry of attacks on Balor. Rey kept his eyes on his son though and Balor took advantage. Rollins came out to attack Riddle. Dom then begged Rey to hit him with a chair. Balor and Priest took advantage of the distraction for the win.

Clip of Lumis in the Miz's home was played before MizTV

MizTV had Miz demanding answers. Lumis didn't come out and then Miz threatened him. Lumis then cut a hole and appeared from under the ring. He tried to drag Miz, then Ciampa through but was unsuccessful. He reappeared to stare them both down to send the segment.

Backstage Balor tried to recruit AJ Styles for Judgement Day

Bayley v Alexa Bliss is the main event for the night. Alex is showing flashes of her old ruthless character but Bayley is controlling the early part of the match. She slammed Alexa's knee into the ring apron. Alexa tried to take control but Kai and SKY interfered allowing Bayley to win. After the match Bayley hit her finisher on Bianca and challenged her to a match at Extreme Rules to end the show.

During the show a QR code was carried across the screen that led to this video Come with Me (wwe.com)  Wonder what the video means?

Random Thoughts

Really hope Logan Paul just takes the pin for Theory's cash in

Sasha and Naomi should come back before Survivor Series

There are too many titles defended in AEW to keep track of

It is nice to see a tag division being built back up in WWE

CM Punk winning the AEW title is like the Madden curse for him

The Acclaimed are crazy over. I don't get it but I recognize it

I miss the serious Orange Cassidy that was able to main event with Jericho

NXT should benefit from the new company changes.

Revamp and recap of the week of 9/12-9/17

So back in 2014 I had started this blog as Zee's WWE History. Life had gotten crazy after I moved so I had stopped writing. Life has changed for me and I felt like it was time to start back up again. I am cleared out the old posts here and am basically making it a fresh start as Zee's Wrestling History.

A lot has changed in 8 years. We now have a steady #2 promotion in AEW, Vince McMahon is no longer running WWE, and promotions like Impact, NWA, MLW, and more are receiving increased exposure and success. Stars that were thought to be on the rise have come and gone with new ones taking their place. Wrestlers who we thought we had seen the last of in the ring have come back and delivered exciting matches. It is certainly a great time to be a wrestling fan.

Before I start the recap of the past week, I want to mention that the blog will mostly focus on WWE/AEW for current stuff. I may throw in some other stuff that I happen to catch.

So this week we are still hearing about some fallout from the All Out incident. The stories keep changing and ultimately the only ones that truly know what happened are those that were there. The big positive out of all of this is that we are getting Mox v Danielson for the World title. Mox defeated Sammy Guevara to get there and Danielson defeated Jericho.

We have yet another fatal four way for the women's title. This time it is on Dynamite. I do not see Toni Storm losing it anytime soon.

Over on Raw we got to see new women's tag champs in Damage Control. Feels like they should have just won the tournament. Also saw Dom and Ripley's weird relationship develop as Judgement Day took out Edge for the time being. US title on the line next week with Lashley v Rollins should be a good match.

On NXT there was a new North American Champion crowned as Solo Sikoa defeated Carmelo Hayes. Seems like black and gold is back as well.

Smackdown featured a Shotzi face turn, Logan Paul challenging Roman Reigns(seriously?) as well as the Brawling Brutes becoming number 1 contenders to the Usos. Solo defended his championship against Madcap Moss with assistance from Sami Zayn.
